Steam Sale

If you haven't noticed the Sprint/Autumn Steam Sale has now started and I was very amused at this seasons website design. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page it will transition from Sprint to Autumn as well as everything being upside down the menus also work.

You could say small thing amuse small minds. I will still say that this is brillant.

Lots of good deals are likely to be had like Sleeping Dogs which is awesome and a great deal more fun than I was expecting. I'm very tempted to pick up Anit-Chamber as I have heard some good things about it.

This will be the only post I make about it but be sure to check for more awesome prices in the coming days.

Hello the small amount of you that follow my content.

If you haven't seen the every now and then message I have been streaming a few of my sessions of Hearthstone: Heros of Warcraft on Twitch.TV. This is mostly due to the limited setup to it and that for the most part I just press "Start Streaming" and it's up somewhere.

If I find the motivation I'll look into continuing my YouTube content at some point to but for the moment it appears to be hard to come by.

Chrome Update - New Tab Page

So Google's popular web browser Chrome updated on the live branch recently. Or the installation on my desktop was slow at updating as my laptop has had the change for a while but since I don't use my laptop all that much it was not all that much of an issue.

New Channel Layout

So YouTube has this new channel layout that after messing around with the setting for a bit I do likely a lot better for the options it gives in comparison to the old layout.

mI Gaming News - Sims, Sims, Sims.

If the gaming media had anything to say about it the sky was falling and the new Sim City was to blame for it as there was not much else to talk about across my usual sources. Also something nostalgic caught my eye in Age of Empires II HD Edition appearing on Steam and I briefly touch on Anita Sarkeesian video on Tropes vs Women. Her content makes me a little to talkative so I'll either make a write up on my thoughts about it or a video if I have the time for either.

Fan Page

Well it has now happened. I've made a Facebook Fan Page.

It's been a few minutes now and I've got a few things working such as linking it to twitter and getting the RSSGraffiti publisher running, or at least it says it's running. It has yet to push anything to the page as of yet. I should give it some time.

I've also added Cueler YouTube to display the YouTube content as if Google and Facebook would make apps that work across competing platforms.

But this should be fun.

Well mISings is up. Today's cover is Drops of Jupiter by Train. I feel it was a decent cover other then some timing issues.

Preoccupied

So with study, work and the odd form of entertainment to keep me sane I've found little time to make a video this week. I still have topics I can do for Sunday and should be able to make some time tomorrow to fit in that vocal cover of "Drops of Jupiter", It's been a big week. I also have a vlog rant I want to make at some point to which should open a can of worms

Changes to Project 365 and Future Content

So far I've really like making videos about anything I can think of but I don't feel satisfied with the quality or entertainment of them so in the coming days I'll be looking to change the way I do my videos. What this means is that at 34 videos in a Project 365 will be coming to an end but what will be coming from that experience is something different and more focused.

There will be no video again today but not because I didn't have the energy for it I just wanted to type out a little dilemma I was thinking about with recording and the public display of video game content. This came about while I was having a few frame rate issues with attempting to record some Borderlands 2.

Did not end well. So adding Monster power does make it a challenge in the end. I'll be looking to play a new mage till Level 7 and then continue the odd video of gameplay.

Skipping a day as it's becoming harder to think of a worthwhile topic for each video per day. I was also going to sing something but have not had the time to or the space to fit it into the day. Maybe I'll do a few catch up videos when I can or restructure the project make a minimum of 1 video a week. That should allow me to prep more quality over quantanty.

Project 365 - 31 - Long day

Today felt really long, mostly on the part that I had a longer shift then usual for a Tuesday. Find out that I didn't get the a speaking role in Wastelander Panda project, although a little disappointment there where likely some great people that applied for it and I'm looking forward to seeing the final product for that.

Project 365 - 26 - First Mistake

The first mistake in any video log is to never mention a meme, if you can at all avoid it. Given the topic I wanted to talk about today makes that complete unavoidable I've made the first mistake I've shown that I am the very meaning of a SAP or Socially Awkward Penguin. This is only in situations that I have next to no context in which to form a conversation. For example what I do for work involves talking to people but it has a context or a framework I can structure a conversation from. General "Hi, how are you?" to someone that seems interesting to talk to but I have no reason to really open with "How about that weather?" The likely variables and response that can come from putting myself out there likely that are way to overwhelming for me to handle

So day 19... it feels like it should be more then that. This project has made me really aware of what day it is, also has they effect of making the weeks last longer. Onward! So today's video is about me noticing that a project a friend of mine I knew from TAFE was asking for Voice Actors. I've never voice acted before but I would like to think I have a range that could be handy in what they where asking for. So I've made a recording and as such though I should share.

Project 365 - 17 - Practise, Practise, Practise

So today I wanted to do something a little more then just DoReiMe as a vocal cover. So to that end I present below me attempting to do a cover of Desires by Anberlin. I will be the first to say that vocally I am completely out of practise and over the 20min I spent getting a good recording of the cover I felt like I'm on the way to getting back into form.

Maybe one day I could sign more often or at least as much as I use to.

If my singing or the audio quality is not up to your par you can just turn the volume down and watch Six clean herself. To be fair though if I was completely terrible I'm sure the cat would want to leave, or maybe the comfort of the chair is worth attempting to ignore my voice :P

Project 365 - 16 - Windy Issues

So I made a video early to attempt to keep myself ahead as I was invited to something tonight for Australia Day. Alas due to it being a really windy day the sound quality was less then normal so I had to make one when I got home.

Project 365 - 15 - I Have This Feeling...

That I forgot to do something important for this video. Oh yeah like synchronise the camera video and audio to the games video and audio. Although by the time I remember it had been two days since filming and I was already a good way through the second attempt at rendering it.

Although it does look like I know the game well enough to predict everything by at least 3-4 seconds. I'll keep a note of this for next time.

Project 365 - 14 - I Use to do This More Often

Sing that is. I really enjoy my memories of being part of the Victoria Children's State Choir. Learning music theory, practicing scales, singing on stage and for a collective Christmas Carols Album back in 1997 with Darrel Cotton. At the time one of my heros of the era. Overall that likely be biggest part of my life I miss the most. Being involved in music other then just the listening part.

Would really like to get involved again.

Note: Due to rendering issues with the Diablo III Gameplay I had to re-render it so it's once again late. I will be uploading it as soon as this is done

Due to mental fatigue and my lack of ability to string thoughts together worst then usual I wont be putting together a video tonight. Not really sure if that means I should put two up tomorrow as a 'punishment' for missing a day. I'm more just giving myself a breather as I've seen with most Project 365 attempts it has to fall sometimes. I was just hoping it wouldn't be this soon in to the process of it.

Project 365 - 7 - A Technical Discussion

Today I discuss some issues I have with current Mobile Phone design in reference to their MicroSIM Card tray. I know this is very unlikely to make any difference but I find the only handset that had a good design in regards to using a SIM card tray was the Nokia Lumia 800 and for some reason they dropped it for the Lumia 920. In the video I rant a little on an issue I had today at work with pointy objects getting stuck in a Motorola RAZA HD.

Project 365 - 4 - Better Late then Never

As with my last post... yeah that explains what I went through to event get this the way I wanted. Well all good now the video is up and it plays as it should. Attempting to fix the Audio/Video sync issues way a complete nightmare

Editing Sucks

Well I've missed a day. Mostly due to post-production. The idea was to put up a video of a game I've just got and it will go up as soon as it's done rendering. What went wrong was attempting to find a way to get the web camera footage into the game play video from FRAPS. The only way I find to do this with free software is via Blender 3D which gave me the effect I wanted but getting there was an interesting task.

Although now I know how it kind of works it should not be such a process other then waiting for Blender to render out the AVI.

I also really need to replace my keyboard as some keys are becoming a pain to key on. Such as the A and W keys TT_TT

Vlog Project 365

So I have this idea and as you may expect form the title of this here blog I have issues with motivation. To counter that I want to set myself a small project as the stack of computer games I have to finish really are not interesting me at the moment and playing Assassin's Creed III after their plot point in the real world feels a little moot (I'll get to it when I feel like it but the side quest are so much more fun to do then the main storyline). I also have Darksider's II that I would like to play more of but it does get a little repetitive
