Between all that gaming and attempt to go through the pile of shame that having limited time entails, finding a good Anime to binge has not been a main priority.
I've attempted to get back into Overlord after the first season and while there are plenty of reason to watch I've found the gamer stuck in a game trope a little over done and nothing comes close to Log Horizon for that kick.
Grimoire of Zero on the other hand is just a pure fantasy world based on the tales of middle European witches and warlocks.
While I enjoyed the cast the plot felt a little freehand and change direction a number of times. Firstly and main character, Zero is looking for her Grimoire that allows almost anyone to learn magic, claiming it to be stolen. Only to discover it was given by the villian, Thirteen, after he killed everyone they lived with to setup some scheme to create world Zero dreamed of. He then helps them seal off Zero's system of magic and the series ends with everyone friends.
While I had my gripes its a good binge and I would recommend watching it via - AnimeLab
